Utah's Noon News, Monday, December 4th, 2017 -- PRESIDENT
TRUMP VISITS UTAH
On Monday, December 4th, 2017, President Trump traveled to
Utah to address lawmakers in the Utah State Capitol. During
his address, he made a long-expected announcement official-- he
would sign an executive order to shrink the size of two National
Monuments located in Utah. The order ended months of debate
after President Obama created Bears Ears National Monument during
the final days of his presidency.
The announcement happened to fall during Utah's Noon News,
which had unparalleled live, team coverage in the Salt Lake
market. Reporters were on the scene covering the motorcade
arrival, protests, the speech topic, and more. Senator Orrin
Hatch introduced the president, and the president himself made the
announcement near the end of Utah's Noon News.
